Smoosh is sustainable in all the ways that matter.
Bar soap beats body wash. No single-use plastic bottles, no waste. (Only about 9% of plastic placed in recycling bins actually gets recycled.)
It outlives the loofah. Plastic loofahs should be replaced every 3–4 weeks—but one Smoosh lasts dozens of loofah lifetimes and is built to be cleaned and cared for over and over and over again.
Closed-loop care. If your Smoosh has ever scrubbed its last, send it back to us and we’ll make sure it’s responsibly recycled.
We clean beyond the shower. We partner with rePurpose Global to help remove plastic waste from oceans, waterways, and communities around the world.

We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our products. If you find that the Smoosh scrubber or soaps are not a fit for you, we provide an easy return process:
- Ship the scrubber back to the specified address provided by our customer service. You do not need to return the soaps; they may be donated or disposed of.
- Email us the tracking number and a list of the returned items. The return must be initiated within the specified date range after receiving the product.
- Please note, you are responsible for the cost of returning the product to us.
- A refund will be issued once the package is in the shipping carrier's possession or received and inspected by our team at Smoosh headquarters.
This policy ensures that even if our products do not meet your expectations, the return process is straightforward and hassle-free.

Product & Formula
Each Smoosh bar starts as a cold-process soap, meaning we mix natural oils and butters with an alkaline solution that gently transforms them into soap through saponification (no harsh heat required).
After curing and drying, we re-press by hand each and every bar to perfectly fit your Smoosh.
Finally, every bar is aged for 12 weeks to harden and mellow, resulting in a longer-lasting, stable bar soap for healthy lather and cleansing.
No, our ingredients and materials do not contain nut allergens or nut oil.
Smoosh products are never tested on animals. All of our formulations are also vegan.
Skin sensitivities and allergies are unique to every person, so it is impossible to guarantee that any product will not cause irritation (even those tested against sensitive-skin panels like Smoosh products).
There are various options within our Smoosh soap lineup, including a fragrance-free option for those looking to reduce potential causes of irritation.
For extra sensitive skin, we do not recommend using a physical exfoliating soap like the Twin Pines with added grit in the formula.
Yes, the extra grit is achieved by adding pumice powder to the formula. Pumice is naturally occurring and safe for you and the environment.
User Help
To activate your Smoosh and get that rich, bubbly lather going, follow these steps:
- Hydrate it: Get Smoosh fully wet, soap side up.
- Rev the engine: Use your fingers or palm in small circular motions on top of the scrubber. This pulls soap onto the silicone fingers.
- Splash again: Add a touch more water if needed.
- Lather up: Start scrubbing your body—lather will build as you go.
- Repeat steps 3 & 4 until the lather is right for you.
Once activated, it’ll keep going as you use it on your body. Just keep Smooshing.

This depends on how often you shower, how vigorously you scrub and how much you fall in love with how good using Smoosh feels. But a good average might be 1 to 2.5 monhs per box (2 bars) of Smoosh body bar soap.
Your Smoosh was designed to resist funk: bacteria, mold, mildew, all of it.
But if your scrubber ever needs a refresh, just pop the soap out and run it through the dishwasher (top rack, no dry cycle).
To disinfect your Smoosh scrubber: use a highly-diluted solution of bleach.
- Remove the soap and extend the tray completely to it's highest position,
- Fill a bowl or container with water
- Add just one-half teaspoon of regular household bleach per 1 cup of water (roughly 100:1 dilution)
- Stir gently to combine
- Soak your Smoosh for 30 minutes.Scrub gently, rinse thoroughly, and let air dry
Absolutely! Kids happen to be some of our biggest fans. They love the light but fun scrub of Smoosh’s silicone fingers, and the sense of pride they feel getting clean all on their own.
Parents love that they’re not pouring half a bottle of body wash down the drain. Bonus: with any luck, fewer bath-time battles.
Just skip any soap with grit on their young skin
We are thrilled for you, your Stick, and your soon-to-be squeaky clean inter-scapular region. 🙌
Step 1: Match the Holes & Nubs
At the base of your Smoosh’s comfy handhold, you’ll find two rectangular holes.One on each wing. These align with the two raised rectangular nubs on the colorful head of the Stick.
Step 2: Seat & Snap
Start by lining up one of the holes with its matching nub. Press to fully seat it. Then rotate the Stick toward the second hole until it snaps into place 🎉 That’s it! You’re locked in and ready for full-body glory.

Step 3: Remove Stick
Squeeze your hand together to compress the silicone (imagine you’re peeling an orange with your thumb). Twist the Smoosh away from you, popping it off one nubbin, then the other.
Don’t let that sliver go to waste. It’s still got bubbles to give.
When your soap is down to its final whisper, it’s time for the Re-nesting Ritual. Our zero-soap-waste ceremony:
- Lower the soap tray all the way down.
- Flip Smoosh over
- Press the sliver out evenly: one finger in each hole until it pops free.
- Load a fresh soap puck like usual.
- Add water + a little rub-a-dub to make soapy glue.
- Match the sliver’s donut hole to the bump on the new bar and press firmly.
- Let them dry and fuse. Sliver becomes soap. Past meets present.
- Smoosh on.
